I don't know about you, but it drives me crazy that Christmas has become such a consumer driven holiday. It creates so much waste, in the form of unwanted gifts and ugly knick knacks, tinsel and wrapping paper.
So this year I'm making my gift bags out of scrap fabric and felt! They're easy, really cheap, sustainable, and make for some classy wrapping! They can be reused for years to come, they can be re-gifted, or used for storage. Wanna see how easy it can be?
Over the next week or so I'll be sharing tutorials for several different gift bags, a drawstring bag, a felt bag, and a reversible drawstring gift bag.

Later this week I'll be sharing back over here on P & GF a tutorial for making felt gift bags in 15 minutes! These are even cheaper than your average storebought paper gift bag, so you'll want to come back to check those out!

Hi Danielle! Today I'm visiting from OneCreativeMommy.com. :) I've visited before when coming across some of your tasty looking allergy friendly recipes, but I didn't know you did cute eco-friendly crafts as well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute idea, although I may have to buy already made bags since (sad to say) I don't even own a sewing machine. ;)
Hi Nom Yum! Thanks so much for stopping by (and did I mention that your Peppermint Cupcakes look gorgeous?!).
DeleteI'm sorry about the no sewing machine, but if you come back later this week, I'll post a tutorial for making felt bags that you can whip up fairly quickly by hand ;)
