I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July! We went to our first Independence Day BBQ in the US last night and it was good fun.
The farmers market was pretty packed this morning and we didn't make it all the way around before we decided to bail out, but I did pick up a few good things. Here's the plan so far :
1/2 lb cremini mushrooms for use in a gluten free beer stew (with a GF ale)
1 bunch spray free kale for steaming and maybe for using in Brown Rice Sushi Rolls (I like to steam carrots and kale instead of cucumbers sometimes for kappa maki)
1/2lb spray free mixed lettuce for big salads
1 bunch adorable baby beets for salads, and use the Sorghum and Citrus Sauce I made a couple of weeks ago for the beet greens
