A Week of Gluten Free Pasta Making

What if you could eat pasta three or even four times a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, for over a week without ever eating the same type of pasta?

That's basically what I was doing when I put together the recipes for my last cookbook, Recipes for Unusual Gluten Free Pasta: Pierogis, Dumplings, Desserts and More!

Since the book has over 60 recipes, it took me a couple of months of intense recipes testing to put the book together, and a whole lot of taste testing! Luckily, the pasta recipes in this book go well beyond fettuccine (there are a couple of fettuccine recipes, though, like the Gluten Free Chocolate Fettuccine shown in the above photo). It's not hard to eat pasta several times a day when you realize that "pasta" includes things like dumplings, won tons, pierogis, orzo, tortellini, and more.

Scroll down to see some pictures of what I was eating while working on the book!

Also included in the book are tons of images with step-by-step instructions on how to roll your gluten free won tons, gluten free dumplings, gluten free pierogis, and other unusual gluten free pasta dishes. Like, for example, the gluten free orzo below.

That orzo is fantastic with the kale pesto sauce recipe in the book, and also goes really well in the Orzo and Chickpea Soup recipe as well.

Or these gluten free steamed dumpling buns with red bean paste:

That end up looking like this in the end:

The book also gives step by step instructions for making things like these soft, pillowy Polish Kopytka

That gluten free kopytka is great with gravy, or fried onions, as shown below

You might also enjoy learning how to roll out and shape these adorable little gluten free tri-colour tortellini

And those little tortellini taste soooo good in gluten free tortellini soup, like this:

And at the end of the day, if you're looking for something a little sweet, you can try the Gluten Free Chocolate Fettuccine at the beginning of this post, or choose these gluten free glutinous dumplings with red bean paste (don't worry, despite the name they really are gluten free)

These are just a sampling of some of the recipes you can find inside Recipes for Unusual Gluten Free Pasta. If you're looking for more, check out the book in eBook or print version and start making gluten free pasta today! It's tons of fun, cheap, and easy to do. Plus, many of the recipes have vegan options, so you can make vegan AND gluten free pasta.
