Random photos from this past week's photoshoots for the OAS Cookbook

Gluten & Soy Free Asian Noodle Soup

One of the upsides of writing a cookbook is that you get cook and test recipes that you love!

Conversely, one of the downsides is that in the madness to take a bazillion photos there is tons of food in the house. Being as frugal as I am, I can't let food from these photoshoots go to waste...!

With all this food around, I'm seriously in danger of my hips gaining back all that I trimmed off before going to Greece last month!

Check out some of the photos below to see what I've been nibbling on this week, as well as a sneak preview of some of the recipes for my upcoming Oral Allergy Syndrome book.

Update: The book, Living with Oral Allergy Syndrome: A Gluten and Meat-Free Cookbook for Wheat, Soy, Nut, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Allergies is now available. Clicking the title will take you to the Amazon.com page where you can order your copy and find the recipes for the photos on this post!

Wheat Free Blueberry Crisp

Wheat Free Cantaloupe Coffee Cake (thank goodness this freezes well or else I'd have eaten it all at once)

Wheat Free Chocolate Crepes (I have eaten far, far too many of these this week!!)

Wheat Free Sweet Potato Blueberry Muffins (would you believe I ate 2 of these AFTER eating 2 crepes??)

Wheat & Soy Free Thai Wraps (my husband loves these go-to wraps for dinner or a snack)

Wheat Free Blueberry Chai Pancakes (there are 15 pancakes under here. Don't worry, I didn't eat them all... yet)

Other things I've been cooking up this week for the book (and will be sharing shortly) include a Mango Vegetable Stirfy, Thai Salad, Olive Flatbread, Ginger Pear Smoothie, Millet Porridge and Lemon Blueberry Polenta Cake.

Looking for more sneak peeks at the OAS book? Check out these photoshoots:

    1. Thanks, Anne-Marie! The aim is the end of August/early September. It's really getting into the stages of the fiddly things now. Editing, photos, getting cover artwork done, procuring the foreword from the doctor involved etc. So when that is all done, it'll be ready to go!

  2. All of your photos are gorgeous, but those gluten free chocolate crepes take the cake. They look so light and luscious! I am always looking for fun GF recipes :)

    1. Thanks! The crepes are pretty wonderful, whenever I make them my husband eats them for breakfast AND dessert in the same day ;)

    1. Thanks, Jo-Lynne. At the end of it all, though, I was so tired of cooking I just wanted to go out for dinner so I wouldn't have to do any more dishes!
